The Traffic System (Discussion)

It is clearly see in recent cases that the existing traffic system is failing its course…. So an alternative must take its place all evolutionary hypothesis…. So be it…. So what is going to the change??? Let us assume everything under the roof science to be possible (i.e.) ignoring all other conditions like economy et al, and considring pnly the technical feasibilities alone….

Note: In this case the failure of the earlier system is attributed to increased number of vehiles and their disorderliness…..

    I think the next step would be for cars to be aware of each other, and re-route automatically. I think I’ve seen the first approximation to this on some luxury cars for highway driving… they beep or even apply the breaks if they sense an object approaching to quickly.

    The ultimate would be flying cars.

    Also, I would like to add that the traffic system is NOT failing everywhere… I had the chance to drive in Germany on a few occassions, and their whole system was flawless. The highways (autobahns) have no speed limits! Its amazing!
